Harty steps down as Greensboro head coach
Justin Harty has stepped down as head coach of Greensboro College’s women’s wrestling program, effective immediately. Harty also served as head coach of the men’s program during his five seasons with the Pride.
Under Harty, the women’s program made significant strides. Destiny Vaughans became the program’s first female All-American in 2024-25. Hailie Misplay and Kyra Tomlinson have both been nationally ranked, with Tomlinson earning a trip to the NCWWC Nationals in 2024-25 and the NCAA Regionals in 2025-26. Six Greensboro wrestlers total made the NCAA Regionals in 2025-26.
Assistant coaches Jon Woodburn and Mitch Johnson will lead both programs for the 2026-27 season. The women open their season at the UMO Open on Nov. 7.
